Markets move through a few clear stages.

Open soon

The market is visible, but trading has not started yet.

Open

Users can buy and sell shares while the market is open and before the trading cutoff.

Trading cutoff

After the cutoff, new trades are blocked. This helps avoid trading too close to the answer becoming known.

In review or halted

Some markets may pause for review. If a market is not open, trading is unavailable.

Resolved

The winning outcome is set. Users holding winning shares can redeem them for Credits.

Delisted

A market can be removed from normal trading. If there is a valid resolved outcome, holders may still see redeemable positions where supported.
